When the T was released an automobile advocate stated, “It doesn’t eat when it isn’t running, it doesn’t defecate and urinate all over city streets, it can be parked at home rather than boarded in a livery stable, and it doesn’t run away at inappropriate times.[6] After its release, Ford began rigorously advertising its value. Advertisements said, “You can be guaranteed you won’t find a better value on the market,” and “sells for hundreds of less than the lowest of the rest.[7] Besides the price, the Model T was appealing because it was extremely rugged.[8]  The rough roads of the time could be handled by the Model T.[9] The T’s advantages led to an open embrace soon after its release.
